Swamp Thing - The Grindhouse EP

[Swamp Thing - The Grindhouse E.P.]
Swamp Thing are: Timbuktu, Chokeules and Savilion.

'The Grindhouse EP' contains five tracks which are edgy and delivered with punch.

Opening track '123' comes accompanied with a video and acts as a self referential introduction of sorts. 'It's All About The Brains' taps into the B-Movie, horror theme that is recurrent throughout the EP.  It has a dark undercurrent which is almost threatening as you listen which continues into 'Dr Drillhands' without ever feeling too serious. 'Tentakill' takes on the persona of an old black and white Sci-Fi flick with it's old style, crackly spoken intro. The EP concludes with '2010'. A West Coast vibe drifts in and out as the lyrics reference multiple Sci-Fi classics.

This release is short but very sweet. Crisp production, well mixed beats and competent rapping crossed with that naff B-Movie feel makes for enjoyable listening. I'm looking forward to a full length album in the not too distant future.

'The Grindhouse EP' is available to buy on limited edition CD (only 99 copies produced) for $5 or download at 'name your price' via bandcamp.
