Over 900 Arcade Classics Ready To Play Online Now

The Internet Archive just lost a load of people their jobs. Procrastination up 100%

The Internet Archive, the online library has given us all an excuse to procrastinate for the rest of time. In fact I intended to start writing this post an hour ago, then Street Fighter II happened. Hundreds of in browser arcade classics are now indexed on the site including the aforementioned Street Fighter II, Outrun, Paperboy, Tron and so many more.

If you’re a fan of gaming from the late 70s through to the early 90s there’s something here for you. Some of the games are a little buggy and working our the controls can be a challenge but once you’ve figured it out there are hours ahead of you working your way through your childhood memories.

Next up: Outrun. Enjoy this wonder at the Internet Arcade

It’s a shame the in-browser emulation (which is very impressive) doesn’t yet allow for sound. But then again that way you’ll boss will never know what your up to!
