Avengers: Infinity War | The MCU Is Reaching A Climax!

Marvel’s Avengers will re-team once again to face up against their toughest foe yet, Thanos!

In 2006, Marvel took back the rights to Iron Man, a film that had been in development at several other studios.

In forming their own production facility, Marvel Studios, they decided to take matters into their own hands and stop relying on other studios to translate their properties onto the big screen.

Released in 2008, Iron Man was a huge hit and started the foundation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a place where all Marvel stories would co-exist with material crossing the films albeit plot points or even characters.

After five more successful character introducing films, we arrived at The Avengers, a huge box office success of a film where all the characters from previous stories joined forces to fight Loki and the forces of the Chitauri.

This formula was proving to be a huge success and the process was repeated again leading up to Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While all the films have their own individual plots, a running theme has been the infinity stones. A series of colourful stones that all have their own incredible powers.

Whilst teased in previous films, this infinity stones plot thread comes to a head in Avengers: Infinity War. The all-powerful Thanos will try to acquire the infinity stones for his gauntlet giving him almost unlimited power. Only the Avengers will be able to stop him…or will they?
