Blockbuster Video Is Back, Kinda | Deadpool 2

For just two days an authentic Blockbuster Video store will open today in London giving away Deadpool 2 digital downloads.

Shoreditch, London // To celebrate the release of ‘Deadpool 2’ on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download, an authentic looking video store from years past will be open in London for just two days.

The store, located in trendy Shoreditch, will replicate Blockbuster Video where the marketing team behind the ‘Deadpool 2’ home release campaign aim to give away 1,989 digital downloads of the film over the two days that the pop-up is open.

The aim of the stunt is to echo themes of time travel and nostalgia present in the film.

Still got a Blockbuster Video membership card? If you have, then great news. Anyone with a Blockbuster card can skip the queue and receive a special edition VHS case for the movie containing a digital download code for the movie.

What if you don’t have a card? No worries, you can simply show the cashier your own superpower and receive the VHS case and download too.

The Blockbuster Video pop-up is open from today (17th September) between 11:30am and 8:00pm and on Tuesday 18th September between 10:00am and 5:00pm.

Head over to 133 Bethnal Green Road, and don’t forget your membership, or superpower.

About Deadpool 2 | Foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (AKA. Deadpool), brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy with supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling cyborg, Cable.
