Based on Guy Ritchie’s film of the same name released in 2000 comes an original television series of ‘Snatch’ from Sony’s streaming service Crackle.
The joint Anglo-American venture stars an array of talent including Rupert Grint, who everyone remembers as Harry Potter’s trusty sidekick Ron Weasley.
The series revolves around a group of up-and-coming hustlers who stumble across a truck load of stolen gold bullion and soon discover the harsh realities of a life of organised crime.
The show looks to replicate the balance of violence and humour with a very pretty cast including Luke Pasqualino (Skins), Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens), Dougray Scott (Fear the Walking Dead), Phoebe Dynevor (The Village) and Juliet Aubrey (The Infiltrator). Quite an ensemble!
Although filmed in Manchester in the U.K. it’s uncertain where ‘Snatch’ will be available on British television. U.S. viewers will be able to catch all ten episodes on Crackle – a free streaming service (funded by intrusive advertising) from Sony Entertainment – from the 16th of March.
