Our final tease for Warner Bros fifth film in the DC universe. This is the Justice League.
Warner Bros has received a very mixed success trying to create its own cinematic universe based on DC properties.
Man of Steel started off the series as a pretty good Superman film and then WB tried to expand the universe with the sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Unfortunately, the film is a bit of a mess in places and personally, I thought the only highlight of the film was introducing Ben Affleck as Batman.
Many people started to have concerns with this live-action interpretation of the DC universe, especially after the mess that was Suicide Squad.
The next film, Wonder Woman, proved to be a great success and showed that maybe, the already announced Justice League film might just be alright.
However, during production, there always seemed to be a flow of negative rumours surrounding Justice League. For example, the film underwent two months of reshoots, which is more than usual, and reports of huge chunks of the film were being replaced.
Sadly, in May of 2017, Zak Synder left the project entirely due to the unfortunate death of his daughter. Joss Whedon, who directed The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, was brought on board to finish the film.
Despite all this negativity surrounding the film, will it continue the upward trend started by Wonder Woman?
We’ll all find out when the film opens in November.
