The BBC have revealed the all new look for Jodie Whittaker’s thirteenth doctor in the forthcoming next season of Doctor Who.
Blending retro and futurism in one ensemble, Jodie Whittaker’s look has been revealed.
A long coat with a modern cut covers three quarter length, loose fitting trousers. A distinctly seventies looking shirt is punctuated with braces that compliment the outfits colours.
Heavy brown boots set off a tomboy aesthetic with a number of ear piercings suggesting a rebelliousness to Whittaker’s Doctor.
The new series kicks off in Autumn 2018 with ten, fifty minute episodes.
Veteran British TV entertainer Bradley Walsh will line up alongside Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill as the new regular cast. New head writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall takes the reigns.
Chibnall has already rung in the changes in a big way by casting Jodie Whittaker as the first female Doctor. For the official BBC Doctor Who blog Chibnall said:
“The new Doctor is going to need new friends. We’re thrilled to welcome Mandip, Tosin and Bradley to the Doctor Who family. They’re three of Britain’s brightest talents and we can’t wait to see them dive into brand new adventures with Jodie’s Doctor. Alongside them, we’re delighted that Sharon D Clarke is also joining the show.”
Bradley Walsh will star as Graham, Tosin Cole will play Ryan and Mandip Gill will play Yasmin. Sharon D Clarke is best known to UK audiences for role as Lola in medical drama, Holby City.
