The latest pop-culture crossover shoes come from Japanese brand Ubiq and feature designs from The Simpsons.
Japan // ‘The Simpsons’ is the latest fandom to be featured on a range of sneakers. Whilst Vans are proving to be leaders of the pop-culture shoe crossover (their latest being Marvel x Vans), other brands are jumping on the bandwagon.
Like Fila, Ubiq’s canvas sneakers featuring designs from ‘The Simpsons’ are region exclusive. The shoes are only available in Japan, though for the cost of shipping and customs tax, it should be possible to have them imported if you live in another part of the world.
There are five designs to choose from, each with a specific slogan printed on the outer sole.
High-tops come in two styles, one featuring Homer, the other carries and Duff Beer print.
Duff Beer also features on one of two slip-on designs. The second looks good enough to eat since it looks like a glazed doughnut with sprinkles.
Last but not least, there’s a low-top pair featuring Homer’s hell-raising son, Bart.
Slip-ons will set you back ¥7,000, low-tops ¥7,500 and high-tops ¥8,000 excluding tax. That’s around £48.00, £51.45 and £54.88 respectively at current exchange rates.
