Everyone vs Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War | Trailer 2

The culmination of ten years of Marvel films will come to an explosive climax in Avengers: Infinity War!

You have to admire the forward planning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It looks like right from the beginning with 2008’s Iron Man, a roadmap was created showing how all the stories would play out and affect each other.

The most obvious thread running through the stories was the introduction of the Infinity Stones. In this piece written by Will, he informs us how each of the stones came to be and in what films they were introduced. What’s really interesting is that a final stone, the soul stone, still hasn’t been introduced into the films and everyone is speculating how this will be done.

This is only the second trailer for this hugely anticipated film and I must congratulate the marketing department. While there are many clips of battles and plot moments, we have no idea how this will all piece together. This very much reminds me of the excellent trailers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

It’s also interesting to note that originally there were going to be two Infinity War films labeled as part 1 & 2. Both films were shot back to back and even though they’ve now lost the ‘part’ title, the second Infinity Wars film is set for release in 2019. Does this mean by the end of the film we’ll be left with a nail-biting cliffhanger? Maybe, we’ll find out by the end of April.
