Game Of Thrones | Season 3 Bluray Preview Event

Last Tuesday The Unheard Nerd were invited along to a preview event ahead of the release of Game Of Thrones Season 3 on DVD and Bluray where Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) talked about the challenges of making that season and hinted at what to expect in season 4.

Held in London’s Soho, HBO Home Entertainment played host to a special preview event for Game Of Thrones Season 3 with just under a week until the official home release date. An enthusiastic group of bloggers, journalists and competition winners gathered in the bar of the Soho Hotel to enjoy a complimentary drink or three and gaze at an imressive cake made specifically for the night’s gathering to represent The Red Wedding episode. The episode formed the theme of the evening.

Once given the go ahead we made our way into the comfy private cinema where a representative from HBO UK welcomed us before presenting Maisie Williams, the actress now famous for her wonderful portrayal of Arya Stark throughout the series. She discussed her growth both as an actress and as a character through all four seasons and gave a teaser of what to expect in season four.

In keeping with the theme of the night we were then treated to an hour long documentary ‘The Making Of The Red Wedding’ an insightful behind the scenes look from the perspective of the director, crew and actors. The full documentary will form part of the bonus material on the DVD and Bluray release.

Game Of Thrones Season 3 is out on DVD and Bluray today.
