It’s a new year and a new editorial piece for The Unheard Nerd in the form of The Geekend Review where we take a look at some of the more exciting news stories to have dropped over the last week

We got our first look at Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy with an image of the lead characters including Groot who will be voiced by Vin Diesel.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Keeping the Marvel theme going and there were a couple of videos released for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The first was a promo piece showing an actor dressed as Spidey hanging out in Time’s Square ahead of a new trailer featuring the famous landmark with a distinct New Year’s flavour.


 

The Rock

The Rock To Appear In A DC Flick?

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson set the twitterverse alight with a tweet suggesting that he’s been in talks with Warner Bros with regards to a role in a future DC title. What will it be?


 

Agent Carter

Agent Carter Spinoff Series?

And rounding off with yet more news from the Marvel camp, there are rumours afoot of an Agent Carter spinoff series which see Hayley Atwell reprise her role from Captain America: The First Avenger. Following a positive reaction to the Agent Carter one shot that appears on the Iron Man 3 bluray it seems that a deal is done and the show will go ahead.
