We got the briefest of teasers yesterday, now take in the first trailer for the highly anticipated appearance of Spider-Man in the Marvel cinematic universe.
With Tom Holland in the lead as Peter Parker/Spider-Man we were treated to a glimpse of how great a new Spidey movie could be when the webslinger swung into action during an epic battle scene in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
Spidey’s appearance in ‘Civil War’ was just what many fans had been craving as the existing licence holders for the character, Sony Pictures, agreed a deal with Marvel Studios to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel cinematic universe.
Whilst not all of the previous Sony movies portraying the character have been bad, many feel that the company never managed to capture the essence of the character on the big screen. Now under the creative control of Marvel things looks to have changed in Spider-Man: Homecoming’ with a smart-mouthed, younger aged Peter Parker receiving a little help from Tony Stark (Iron Man) to upgrade his costume.
The movie also received a new-look logo this week with the ‘Spider-Man’ font straightened up. Personally speaking I preferred the curved logo which is more reminiscent of the classic comings banners.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ will be in cinemas in the U.K. and U.S. from the 7th of July 2017. Other regions check with IMDB.
