Ghostbusters Reboot Reveals New ECTO1

The latest incarnation of ECTO1, the infamous Ghostbusters vehicle, has been revealed by the reboot’s director, Paul Feig. How does it compare to the original?

The details of this new Ghostbusters reboot seems to be flowing thick and fast over the last few days. Not only have we seen the new uniforms and proton packs, but director Paul Feig has even been kind enough to tweet size dimensions and part descriptions allowing fans to already start building their own.

Today the director has unveiled another important look of his upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, the ECTO1. The original ECTO1 from the 1984 film was based on an ambulance, this time around its an old hearse.

Whilst for me it can’t compare to the original, I still like it. My only quibble is that huge yellow beacon on top.

The new Ghostbusters film is set to open in July 2016.

Argh! I just don’t know on this one. If I’d never seen the original ECTO1 I’d feel like this is cool. But I HAVE seen the original ECTO1 and it has more charm than this version.
