Good News Everyone! Here’s A Futurama Fan Film!

The colourful world of humans, aliens and robots are brought to life in this live-action fan film for Futurama!

Futurama fan Dan Lanigan first started this project back in 2014. However, it was too much for one man and he bought onboard Martin Meunier to help along with Kody Frederick, his niece, Katie Lanigan, Adam Cook, Eric Diaz and finally Andy Klimczak so according to their website, “he wouldn’t be the only fat guy on set.”

After two years of hard work, we finally see a glimpse of what they’ve been working on, Fan-O-Rama, a live action Futurama fan film. Apparently, the project is a constant work in progress with no release date set and it will be ready when it’s done. The final film will run for approximately twenty minutes.

The prosthetic work is very impressive, but it also looks rather creepy, especially Zoidberg. Perhaps this is due to extra details that aren’t normally visible in the flat artwork of the 2D cartoon.

I hope we get an appearance from everyone’s favourite but useless captain, Zap Branigan!

You can find out more about the project at the official website.
