Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailer | Why Isn’t It April Already?

Guardians of the Galaxy remains my favourite Marvel movie to date, but come April I suspect I might have a new contender for that accolade.

Whilst I bemoaned Marvel Studio’s cheapening of their product through over-saturation with the release of Doctor Strange, I still can’t help getting excited at the prospect of a new Guardians of the Galaxy film. The first Guardians film was pitched so perfectly that it has endured as my favourite film in the known Marvel cinematic universe.

Jimmy Kimmel premiered the new trailer for Vol.2 and now I’m wishing it was April already. The film looks to retain it’s beautifully cosmic aesthetic with a gloriously diverse cast of characters and, most importantly, a tremendous sense of camaraderie amongst the leading cast that provides fun in abundance with a spattering of sincerity. All spliced with heart racing action.

All that from the trailer! Imagine how glorious the film will be?

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and David Bautista return as Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax the Destroyer respectively, whilst Rocket is once again voices by Bradley Cooper and Groot by Vin Diesel.

Nebula, Yondu and Matis seem likely to feature more heavily this time alongside Kurt Russell as Star-Lord’s dad?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 flies onto U.K. screens on the 28th of April, the U.S. waits until May 5th.

About Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 | Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
