Hercules | First Trailer

Hercules | First Trailer

Last year Dwayne Johnson (AKA The Rock) tweeted quite a lot of pictures from the set of Hercules. It really was a sneak peek with nothing major revealed. Today during a  live online chat they revealed the first footage with the release of a new trailer.

This the second version of Hercules to be released this year and it has been directed by Brett Ratner (the other was directed by Renny Harlin) who has been behind pictures such as the Rush Hour Trilogy and X-Men 3. This version is based on the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars but has since dropped the tagline.

Apparently the studio agreed to fund the movie, provided that the Rock agreed to star in multiple capacities in the film, portraying Hercules, his father Zeus, and also Achilles. Hopefully this won’t lead to any future Eddie Murphy type comedies!

Hercules opens in the US on 25th of July and in the UK on 8th August.
