Holden Racing Team Use The Force With Star Wars Deal

The Australian Holden Racing Team will race for the dark side of the force at the Bathurst 1000.

As part of the V8: Supercars series, the Supercheap Bathurst 1000 takes place over the weekend of the 8th-11th of October in New South Wales, Australia. And one team in particular is likely to stand out thanks to their striking Star Wars: The Force Awakens livery.

HRT will take to the track with a dark tone to their V8 Holden Commodore supercars as they sport a stormtrooper on one side and Star Wars: The Force Awakens antagonist, Kylo Ren on the other replacing their more common lion and crash helmet logo. The deal is in partnership with The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand and aims to promote the newest instalment of the Star Wars saga due to hit cinemas in December. The union between the team and Disney is an ongoing agreement that will see further promotions for other franchises in due course.

Fans of the cars will be able to buy scale models from the team who will debut the cars at practice for the Bathurst 1000 on Thursday October 8th.
