New to the The Unheard Nerd family comes Nerdcore Records, a project designed to promote nerd music.
For the last year or more a seed of an idea has been growing in my mind inspired by both the void left by the closure of Scrub Club Records and an open letter issued by geek rockers Kirby Krackle – who laid down a challenge for the nerd music scene to rally together to promote each other to strengthen the community.
Now, in December 2015 the planets have aligned and I can proudly present Nerdcore Records, an outlet for nerd musicians, rappers and producers to get their music heard. Focussing initially on samplers, mixes, compilations and EPs, the intention for Nerdcore Records is to build a following and fanbase by releasing a steady stream of new music by up and coming artists for free. In time the goal is to operate the project as a small indie record label able to support and promote a roster of groups or individuals.

It’s very early days in the project but already Nerdcore Records is proud to present two releases this December. The first is an exclusive mix by DJ RoboRob running at 50 minutes and sure to get your party going with a bang. The second is a five track Christmas EP featuring Futile Resistance, Secret Dog (A new project from An Hobbes), Kudos The Kid, B-Type and Johnny Hacknslash.
