A gun trade goes wrong, shots are fired and a deserted warehouse becomes the location for a fight for survival.
Free Fire has opened at the Toronto International Film Festival to a positive reaction and judging by these two trailers, it looks like a lot of fun.
Directed by Ben Wheatley, who gave us last years High Rise with Tom Hiddleston, this film has a great cast including Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Armie Hammer and Sharlto Copley. Let’s not forget Michael Smiley, who for me, will always be “Tyres” from the sitcom Spaced.
Here are both the green and red band trailers.
Title: Free Fire
Release | US: TBA 2017 | UK: 31 Mar ’17 | World: IMDb
Set in late 70s Boston, the film stars Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley, Armie Hammer, Sharlto Copley, Jack Reynor and Sam Riley. Larson plays Justine, a woman who has brokered a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two Irishmen (Murphy, Smiley) and a gang led by Vernon (Copley) and Ord (Hammer) who are selling them a stash of guns. But when shots are fired in the handover, a heart-stopping game of survival ensues.
