Jellyfish Brigade | “Man the Riverboat” (Acoustic Version)

Jellyfish Brigade and friends abandon the traditional rap video format for something more reflective of the folk influence found on their forthcoming new album.

Man The Riverboat is the first single from the forthcoming debut album from Jellyfish Brigade. The album titled Diving Lessons will be released on the 24th of June.

Lucas Dix, emcee of the Portland OR based collective sets the scene: “Many of the tracks on the album are influenced by the lyrics of traditional folk songs, and they all take place in natural settings by rivers, mountains, the ocean, etc. Because of this, we decided to abandon the traditional rap video format for something that reflected the feeling of the project. With the help of friends from the Portland bands Fruition and the Brad Parsons Project, we traveled to the Sandy River and recorded a live, acoustic, folk-version of the song, “Man the Riverboat.””

Diving Lessons will be available via jellyfishbrigade.com, download or stream the album cut of “Man The Riverboat” now via soundcloud.
