Real life has been quiet lately. If you haven’t already lost most of your friends and loved ones to Fallout 4, the chances are the stragglers are going to be locked away this weekend binging on Marvel’s latest Netflix exclusive series, Jessica Jones.
Following the undeniable success of their grittier TV fair in their debut Netflix series Daredevil, Marvel now introduce the second component of their slow build to a crossover Defenders team-up series, with the uncompromising new series Jessica Jones.
Krysten Ritter takes the lead in the series based on Marvel Comics character of the same name. Jessica Jones is a former superhero looking to rebuild her life by starting her own detective agency in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen. Life is never that simple and her past soon catches up with her. David Tennant as Kilgrave and Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth also star. Expect an appearance by Daredevil himself, as the two characters occupy the same neighbourhood, and another Marvel character, Luke Cage, is set to feature in the run up to the character’s own Netflix exclusive series next year.
All thirteen episodes of Jessica Jones hit Netflix on the 20th of November. Binge responsibly.
