LEGO Unveils Official Ghostbusters Set

LEGO Unveils Official Ghostbusters Set

A short while ago we reported on the news that LEGO had chosen its next CUUSOO project which turns a fan voted custom playset into a real retail boxed product.

That winner was the Ghostbuster’s vehicle of choice, the converted 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura, ECTO-1.┬áNow the first official photos have been released. I’m happy to report that unlike the Back To The Future DeLorean set, there’s not too much of a change between the fan build and the official version.

Here’s the original fan build.

Here is the official set from LEGO.

The 508-piece set features the team’s paranormal detection equipment, Ghostbusters logo decorations, a tracking computer, a removable roof and seating for three minifigures. Of course minifigure versions of Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore and Peter Venkman are also included.

The Ghostbusters LEGO set will be released in June 2014.
