LEGO Y-Wing Starfighter | Is It Star Wars Day Yet?

Blam! LEGO have unveiled this killer 1967 brick Y-Wing Starfighter set due for release on May 4th. But you’ll feel a disturbance in your wallet if you want one.

Hardly the sexiest ship in Star Wars lore, the Y-Wing played a crucial role in the uprising of the rebellion. Mostly as cannon fodder. But this new LEGO Y-Wing Starfighter looks like a crazy, fun set to build.

Part of the Star Wars: Ultimate Collector series – which also includes the mammoth 5000+ piece Millennium Falcon, LEGO’s largest ever set – this version of the Y-Wing is seriously detailed and large enough in scale to fit a mini-fig in the cockpit. Which is lucky because you get a Gold Leader figure to pilot the ship and an R2 droid to navigate.

Featuring 1967 bricks this model will take an average builder a fair amount of time to construct and would look incredibly cool next to the Falcon if you’re wealthy enough to have been able to stump up £649.99 for the set.

Though the Y-Wing Starfighter is a fraction of the cost of the Falcon at £169.99 it’ll still leave a pretty big dent in your wallet.

Word in the galaxy is that ser 75181 Ultimate Collector’s Series – Y-Wing Starfighter will be flying onto store shelves on May the 4th. Appropriately, that’s Star Wars day.
