M. Night Shyamalan Returns With The Visit

M. Night Shyamalan Returns With The Visit

A brother and sister are taken by their mother to stay with their grandparents for a few days. They’re grandfather informs them that after bedtime its best not to leave their room. On their first night they discover why.

The Horror is the latest film from director M.Night Shyamalan. As a director he had great success with his first films ‘The Sixth Sense’, ‘Unbreakable’ and to some degree ‘The Village’. But since then we’ve had the flops such as ‘The Last Airbender’, ‘The Happening’ and who can forget (I want to!) ‘After Earth’ with Jaden and Will Smith.

As you regular readers or listeners to The Unheard Nerd Betamax & Laserdisc podcast will know, were not big fans of horror, however this looks interesting. It’s just a shame its another ‘found footage’ style of film.

Title: The Visit | Release Date US: 11th September | UK: 11th September

Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable) and producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious series) welcome you to Universal Pictures’ The Visit. Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.
