Toy makers Mattel revealed a team up with Nintendo at San Diego Comic-Con that will find ‘Mario Kart’ Hot Wheels hitting stores in summer 2019.
Mattel and Nintendo revealed a cool collaboration between the companies for a series of Hot Wheels die-cast cars based on the vehicles of ‘Mario Kart’ at San Diego Comic-Con this month.
To be specific the cars will be based on the vehicle designs found in ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’, the popular video game release for Nintendo’s Wii U console.
‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’ hit stores in all regions on April 28th 2017 restoring enthusiasm for the long-running Nintendo title.
Characters featured in the range of die-cast toys will of course start with the game’s familiar titular hero Mario, alongside his brother Luigi, Rosalina, Princess Peach, Toad, Bowser and Wario.
The full range of toys were on display for con-goers to see at both the Mattel and Nintendo booths throughout the duration of San Diego Comic-Con this year.
Each toy is expected to retail for $4.99 with a subsequent range of Hot Wheels tracks also expected and modelled after those familiar to fans of the long-running series of games.
You’ll need some patience before getting your hands on these desirable collectibles though as they are not expected in stores until around June 2019.
