Mega Ran & Bag Of Tricks Cat – Get Out The ’90s | Video

Mega Ran and Bag of Tricks Cat team up for a video packing a message. Get Out the ’90s is a shot at so called hip-hop purists.

If you think there hasn’t been a good hip-hop album since the mid nineties, this probably isn’t the track for you. Mega Ran and Bag of Tricks Cat team up once more for a no holds barred shot across the bows for the purists. The hip-hop heads stuck in the past who refuse to embrace modern rap.

Filmed in a record store the video allows the pair to reference classic albums whilst educating listeners to the fact that modern rap can maintain a classic ethos whilst still offering something fresh.

This boom bap banger is take from ‘Ran and the ‘Cat’s forthcoming new album titled ‘Emerald Knights 2’. The frequent collaborators drop the new release on June 22nd as a digital download and compact disc. Both are available to pre-order now via bandcamp.

About Mega Ran | When LA Weekly said that Ran’s “fanbase and niche audiences are growing at a rate not seen since Tech N9ne,” they meant it. A former middle school teacher, Mega Ran (formerly Random) blends education, hip-hop and gaming in amazing new ways, penetrating the farthest reaches of the galaxy with his unique rhyme style and electric performances.

About Bag of Tricks Cat | There aren’t too many cats in Hip-Hop that have as many tricks in the bag as Felix. His grandma, Ann Bennett, sang the 1959 “Felix The Cat” theme song, so it was only appropriate to name himself after the iconic cartoon character. Bag Of Tricks Cat has been building a buzz behind his brand since 2012 by releasing various projects, singles and collaborations.
