“Is That A Monkey?” – Kong: Skull Island | Trailer #2

“Is That A Monkey?” – Kong: Skull Island | Trailer #2

Kong isn’t the only strange beast on Skull Island as revealed in this final trailer.

This new iteration of the Kong story takes place in 1971 and the titular beast is the largest version so far in any American adaptation of the classic tale.

Standing at almost 100ft tall, this new Kong dwarves Peter Jackson’s King Kong (2005) who stood at approximately 25ft.

Kong serves as the second part of a franchise started by the Godzilla reboot released in 2014. Movie production studios Warner Bros. and Legendary are planning to follow up this film with a Godzilla sequel that will finally lead to a clash of the titans. Godzilla vs. Kong is currently scheduled for a 2020 release.

Title: Kong: Skull Island

Release | US: 10th March | UK: 10th March | World: IMDb

“Kong: Skull Island” reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.
