Monsters: Dark Continent | Trailer #2

Monsters: Dark Continent | Trailer #2

Ten years on from the events of Monsters, and the ‘Infected Zones’ have now spread worldwide. In the Middle East a new insurgency has begun. At the same time there has also been a proliferation of Monsters in that region. The Army decide to draft in more numbers to help deal with this insurgency and the film follows four fresh recruits straight from Detroit.

The original Monsters was not a huge hit but a very interesting piece of science fiction amazingly created on a very low budget. It was Monsters that helped director Gareth Edwards obtain his next project, the 2014 release of Godzilla.

Edwards is attached to this film as an executive producer only. The film has been directed by Tom Green who only has a few episodes of Blackout and Misfits to his name.

Have they just upped the monster quotient to please a bigger audience?

Monsters Dark Continent is released in the UK on the 28th of November. A US release date is TBC.
