Scrub Club Records Significantly Trim Their Numbers.

Scrub-Club-FB
Following a month long celebration of their artists in March, Scrub Club Records have set off in April on a whole different tone. Having dedicated whole days to praise the likes of funky49, Emergency Pizza Party and Rob Grounds, each of these artists and more have been released to go their own ways.

The full list reads, Deafinition, funky49, HD Ninja, Emergency Pizza Party, Rob Grounds, sAMPLE tHE mARTIAN and Service Lab. Non of which have been super prolific in the last year. Their existing music will still be available from Scrub Club’s website until such time as the artists choose to have it removed and label head (and ultimately the man behind the decision), Madhatter McGinnis has hinted at a big announcement coming soon.

Rift & Savillion | Carry The Fire | Single

Hand Solo Records are currently promoting the forthcoming album from Rift & Savillion titled Carry The Fire with the release of the title track as a single.

“Carry the Fire” is a rap track on which Rift, over a minimalist Savilion production anchored by a wicked beat box, boasts of his survival skills in the wilds of both music and an imaginary, post-apocalyptic world, inspired in part by Survivorman Les Stroud, Bear Grylls, Grizzly Man and the movie/book The Road. Carry the Fire drops June 2014 and features 10 tracks of laid back boom bap about love, loss, family, friends and the state of modern hip hop. Guest appearances come courtesy of Wordburglar, Chokeules, Geneva, Sulfur and more.

MC Lars More Than Triples Kickstarter Target

Mc-Lars

At the time of writing Lars has smashed another Kickstarter campaign by raising over $25,000 more than his original $10,000 target. Good news, this means his stretch goals have well and truly kicked in and he’s now able to make a music video which will credit each backer as a producer. If he reaches $40,000 there will be another and there are more wonderful events to happen if the amount exceeds that. With still six days to go and knowing Lars’ fans it’s entirely possible that this will exceed $40,000 and maybe even climb as high as $50,000. The incentive levels are very reasonably priced so head over to Kickstarter now.
