Wednesday April 30th
Wednesday is nearly upon us which means it’s nearly new comics day, so it’s time to take a look at three new and noteworthy additions to your pull list. Here are my picks for the Wednesday 30th of April.
V-Wars, IDW and New York Times best-selling and multiple Bram Stoker award-winning horror author, Jonathan Maberry conspire once again to continue the battle that rages between humans and vampires in the all-new ongoing comic book series coming this May.
V-Wars is set in a world transformed by a global pandemic caused by a millennial-old virus that, once triggered, affects individuals differently depending on their DNA. The result is vampires as unique as their cultures and a response from those unaffected humans like never seen before.
The Amazing Spider-Man #1
The Greatest Super Hero of All Time RETURNS! The world may have changed since Spidey’s been gone, but so has Peter Parker. This is a man with a second chance at life, and he’s not wasting a moment of it. Same Parker Luck, new Parker attitude. Putting the “friendly” back in the neighborhood, the “hero” back into “super hero,” and the “amazing” back into “Spider-Man!” Also returning: The recharged and reenergized ELECTRO!
Star Wars: Rebel Heist #1
A young Rebel meets one of the Alliance’s best for his first mission. But the young man’s hero worship is crushed by the reality of Han Solo. A botched escape, a ship that doesn’t work—could it be that Solo is just a lucky bumbler whose luck has run out?
The Atomic Legion Hard Cover
In a hidden fortress near the North Pole, the greatest heroes of a past age live secluded from the world that rejected them. But when their benefactor—a mysterious scientist known only as the Professor—is kidnapped, it’s up to a young boy to rally the robots, monsters, and superheroes in the fortress to come to the rescue as the Atomic Legion!
From the writer of the critically-acclaimed 47 Ronin and Crimson Empire.
