New Image Shows Amazon Women From Wonder Woman Movie

As Gal Gadot makes her screen debut as Wonder Woman in Warner Bros. current blockbuster ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ we get a teaser image for the Wonder Woman origin story.

Debuted over at EW, this tasty image shows lead actor Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman flanked to the right of the image by Princess Diana’s mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) and General Antiope (Robin Wright) with Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli) to the left.

Diana is born on the island of Themyscira, hidden from the gaze of men the Amazon women of Greek myth thrive under self rule. With the Queen, General Antiope and Menalippe raising, guiding and training her to become the greatest female warrior in history the Wonder Woman movie will act as an origin story for the character set long before events depicted in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Each of the trio will discover their love for Diana in unique ways.

The Wonder Woman movie is currently in production and forms a cornerstone of the new Warner Bros. DC Entertainment cinematic universe that will continue with a Justice League movie.

Wonder Women is set to debut in cinemas in June 2017.
