Pixels | First Look

When a time capsule is sent into space as a sign of goodwill and peace, an unknown alien race misinterprets the information and comes back to attack the earth. All though this time around, the attacking forces do look very familiar.

Well its finally arrived. Back in December of 2013, I wrote a piece about the short film Pixels by Jean Patrick in which classic video game characters such as Donkey Kong and Pac-man attack the earth.

At the end of the article I mentioned how the rights had been purchased by Adam Sandler’s production company. Now, just over a year later we have the first trailer for the full length motion picture, Pixels.

Personally I’m not a Adam Sandler fan but the retro content may just sway me to watch this one.

Title: Pixels | Release Date US: 24th July | UK: 12th August

Here’s the original short film that inspired the movie.
