Secret Cinema Brings The Empire Stikes Back To London

What started as an underground cinema club has grown into a massive summer event. This year Secret Cinema will recreate The Empire Strikes Back in London.

Last summer Secret Cinema ramped up their events to a whole new level by recreating Back To The Future in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The planning was fraught with problems that saw saw several postponements until the eventual successful screening of the film. With a life-size replica of the famous clock tower, props and acted sequences adding to the drama of the film, fans paid a hefty £50 for their tickets and came dressed for the occasion.

Given the technical difficulties that plagued the Back To The Future event you’d understand if Secret Cinema dialled their plans back a little for this year’s showcase. Not so it seems! The organisation plan to re-create many fans favourite installment of the original Star Wars trilogy The Empire Strikes Back.

Getting tickets will likely be as hard as bullseyeing a womp rat but if you have £50 to spare tickets go on sale on the 18th March at 1pm. May the force be with you!

Almost £80 for an adult ticket. A bit out of my price range!
