See the amazing upcoming sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 in action!

Developers CD Projekt releases a new video showcasing their latest epic sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

Developers CD Projekt is best known for their series of games based on The Witcher novels with the most recent release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, winning multiple “game of the year” awards.

For those of you unfamiliar with the series, “witchers” are monster hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle deadly beasts.

CD Projekt also set up GOG.com. Good Old Games is a website where you can purchase classic PC games from the past which have been tweaked to run on today’s more powerful PCs. The site has grown and expanded and also releases brand new indie titles as well.

Once they finished work on The Witcher 3, CD Projekt turned their attention to the next game, Cyberpunk 2077, which they first announced in May of 2012 and released this teaser in January 2013.

Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the pen and paper role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2020. In the first person perspective, you play as V, an inhabitant of the dystopian city known as Night City in California.

V can be whoever you imagine them to be as the character can be modified to your liking. Once V has been created, you enter the world if Night City and begin the story.

As this is an RPG, your character can be upgraded in multiple ways by gaining experience and completing the main story missions and side quests. Not only can you buy new clothes and weapons but remember this is the year 2077. Your body can be augmented with tech upgrades as well.

The game world is both enormous and looks simply stunning. I’m not going to try and use more words to gush my praises for it, simply watch the trailer from this years E3 below.

This trailer is very stylistic and the general public was unaware of how exactly the game would play out. A fifty-minute gameplay video was shown to journalists behind closed doors at E3. Now we can see that video for ourselves.

Cyberpunk 2077 looks very promising but as of writing, CD Projekt hasn’t made any indication of when the game will be released.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
