Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Goes Ham

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Goes Ham

Spider-Men, Spider-Gwen and Spider-Ham are all set to collide in the cinema this Christmas in ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’.

The main focus of Sony Pictures’ animated movie ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ is on a young Miles Morales discovering his abilities, but the film also pulls in many different Spidey iterations.

Ask a cross-section of the public and most people will be able to tell you that Spider-Man is the alter-ego of Peter Parker, but not in every case. There have been many alternative stories written where different characters are gifted Spidey-Powers.

Miles Morales is the first version to feature a Spider-Man of colour. Gwen Stacy becomes Spider-Gwen in a hugely successful spin-off. There’s even Spider-Ham, a humorous twist featuring Peter Porker as the hero.

All of these iterations and more collide in ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ where a freak occurrence brings together Spideys from multiple dimensions.

Bringing the look of the comics to the big screen, ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ is a creative collaboration between Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie / 21 Jump Street) and features the voices of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter Parker, Liev Schreiber as Kingpin and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir. John Mulaney provides the voice for Spider-Ham.

Catch ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ in cinemas from December 14th in North America and the U.K.
