Star Wars Episode VIII Will Be Called…

Colour me underwhelmed. The next instalment of the Star Wars saga will be titled ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.

Whilst the title for Episode VII, ‘The Force Awakens’, piqued my interest through its ambiguity, I’m somewhat less curious about the title for Episode VIII officially released on Monday.

‘The Last Jedi’ leaves little to the imagination. We know Luke is an old man at this point in the story. We also know that Rey has begun to unlock her potential as The Force literally awoke within her. More so we know how much of the original trilogy ‘The Force Awakens’ drew on. Should ‘The Last Jedi’ continue the trend you could put money on Rey being Luke and Luke being Yoda. If you follow.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

No doubt the movies have a few twists and turns to reveal yet, but I, personally, am not super hyped from this title reveal in the same way I was for ‘The Force Awakens’… yet.

From starwars.com | We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.
THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
