New character posters for Star Wars: The Last Jedi were revealed at D23 Expo this weekend, and everyone has lost their heads.
United States // We’re all counting the days until Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits our cinema screens but Disney/Lucasfilm want to lock that important release date into our brains. This character poster set is designed to help with that.
Six posters feature most of the main cast including Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker, Rey and Finn. There’s a gritty feel to each of the images which are uniformly finished with a distinctly red colouring and prominently display the film logo and December 15th release date.
Coupled with the red ‘Star Wars’ logo for The Last Jedi and the similar colour tones we’ve already seen in the trailer so far, one must conclude that there’s a significance in this choice.
Bizarrely, and I know it’s a style choice, each of the characters has lost the top half of their heads.
D23 Expo is a bi-annual celebration for the Official Disney Fan Club of all things Disney taking place in Anaheim from the 14th to 16th July 2017.
Throughout the course of the weekend there have been some big reveals from the company which owns Marvel and Lucasfilm including this behind the scenes look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
