Task Force X aka The Suicide Squad Assembled

Meet the Suicide Squad as we get our first look at the ensemble cast that make up Task Force X.

Unlike our first look at Jared Leto as the Joker from the Suicide Squad movie currently in production, this cast photo release by director David Ayer has caused a far less vociferous online reaction with the only real criticism seemingly being cast over the image of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. My best guess is that fans are less familiar with the characters making up the cast of this DC Comics movie than something with a wider appeal, like Batman, making their prospective audience far more open to a few liberties with the character’s appearances. It makes sense also that a more popular character like Harley Quinn might take the focus.

It looks a lot like the Suicide Squad is going to be a pretty graphic and potentially violent film aimed at a more mature audience than something DC’s major rivals Marvel might produce.

Do you have strong feeling about the look of The Suicide Squad or what to expect from the film? Comment below and we’ll read out the best comments on Betamax & Laserdisc, The TV and Movie podcast from The Unheard Nerd.
