The first trailer lands for Marvel’s Captain Marvel!

The first female lead Marvel superhero film will burst onto the screens in the form of Captain Marvel.

With Captain Marvel first officially teased at the end of this year’s Avengers: Infinity War, she will have her first solo movie coming March of next year.

As with any long-running comic universe, there have been several Captain Marvels over the years. For this new cinematic take on the character, it is a human woman named Carol Danvers. A former US Air Force pilot who has become one of the galaxies mightiest heroes as part of the Starforce team, an elite Kree military team.

When the Earth becomes embroiled in an intergalactic conflict, she returns home. This event starts to bring up questions about her past which she cannot fully remember.

Kevin Feige, essentially the producer and brains behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has said that not only is Captain Marvel the most powerful character in that universe but also the most important as well.

Captain Marvel, as revealed by the opening shot, will be set during the 1990’s with Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg also returning to play younger versions of Nick Fury and Agent Coulson respectively.
