The Muppets Show Lives On At ABC

The Muppet revival lives on with a new show that débuts on ABC this Fall as part of their 2015-16 television schedule. However, this is apparently a more adult Muppet show, for “kids” of all ages.

The original “The Muppet Show” was a staple for me as a child growing up as it aired every Saturday tea time. It ran for five years and although I always assumed it was an American show, it was in fact filmed in the United Kingdom for us.

Of course the show spawned several movies, more television spin offs and cartoons. There was a large gap of several years before Disney bought them back in the excellent ‘The Muppets’ film in 2011, which itself spawned another sequel.

Now ABC is giving them their own television show as part of their new line-up for 2015. Mimicking modern comedies of today, this version of the Muppets goes behind the scenes, allowing us to see their own personal problems.
