Peter Serafinowicz returns for Amazon’s new season of ‘The Tick’.

Amazon rebooted ‘The Tick’ with a pilot episode last year in 2016. British actor, Peter Serafinowicz, took over the lead in the titular role, following in the footsteps of fan favourite Patrick Warburton. Warburton had previously portrayed the insect-like superhero from 2001 to 2002.

Amazon’s pilot received a positive response from fans and the streaming service subsequently commissioned a full season.

Serafinowicz has long been known to U.K. viewers through various television shows and appearances including his own comedy series ‘The Peter Serafinowicz Show” between 2007 and 2008.

His stock rose further with a role in Edgar Wright’s ‘Shaun of the Dead’ alongside Simon Pegg, with his international reach extending further thanks to his notorious “A-Holes” line in Guardians of the Galaxy.

The currently available teaser forms the first of a ten episode season which will be available only for Amazon Prime subscribers.

‘The Tick’ is set to premier on the streaming service from August 25th.

About The Tick | In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with no superpowers comes to realize his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.
