With the marketing for Star Wars: The Force Awakens in full swing, Google joins the fray allowing you to choose a path and theme your apps.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens only a matter of weeks away, the marketing has ramped up to let you know of its presence. Toys, games and various other merchandise is flooding our retail outlets and today Google offered us a new way to join in the Star Wars fun.

Visiting www.google.com/starwars and (once you’re logged in to your Google account if not already) you will be offered a choice. Choose wisely.

Depending on what side you have chosen, all of the Google applications such as Mail, Maps and YouTube will theme accordingly. I’ve checked my Mail and I have a Jakku backdrop and the loading bar was an animated blue lightsaber. Even the progress bar on my YouTube videos glows blue as well. Here are some previews from Google.

You can also go back the main Google.com/StarWars page, scroll down and see a nifty chart showing which force side is currently in the lead.
