There’s Musical Action With The First Trailer For Baby Driver

Turn up the volume and hold on as the Baby Driver trailer takes you for a spin!

Director Edgar Wright can do no wrong in my opinion. After the successfully brilliant sitcom Spaced, (which also introduced to the world, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) Edgar directed the hit comedy zombie film Shaun of the Dead.

With the three friends proving to be a winning formula, Edgar, Simon and Nick returned for two more films. They were the brilliant Police comedy, Hot Fuzz and the sci-fi themed The World’s End.

I can’t be the only one who has been patiently waiting for Edgar’s next film. He almost got to direct Ant-Man, a project he had worked on for many years but unfortunately, his ideas clashed with Marvel.

Four years since The World’s End we finally get our first glimpse at Baby Driver. The tale of a getaway driver who works for a criminal gang. He’s good, very good, but when he meets a young waitress, he want’s to change his ways.

From the trailer, we learn that Baby was involved in a car crash when he was a child. The accident meant that Baby now suffers from tinnitus and he’s always listening to music to help drown out the effects of his hearing problem. The car chases and action in this film are all edited to sync up with whatever Baby is listening to.

Baby Driver had it’s world premiere at the SXSW festival yesterday and has received nothing but glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the rest of us have to wait until August.

There are two trailers available and both feature different footage.
