The Planet of the Apes saga descends into all out war as Caesar and The Colonel face off for the future of the planet.
Forming the third instalment of the series, ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ follows an army of humans, led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson), and their bloody plight to wipe out the apes and gain control of the planet.
Continuing in tone from ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ appears to be a far less emotionally endearing and much more brutal prospect than the first in the series. Where ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’, starring James Franco, was touching, engaging and harrowing in equal measures, more recent installments have focussed far more heavily on the stark brutality of man Vs beast.
‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ is in cinemas from July 14th. Check IMDB for regional variations.
