You’ve Read The Forbes And The Sunday Times’ Rich List, But What About The Fictional Rich List?


Breaking down the fifteen biggest earners in fiction from superheroes to Lannisters in the fictional rich list.

Every year Forbes and The Sunday Times publish their annual rich list rating the world’s wealthiest. For the record Bill Gates tops the list once more in 2015 with a Net Worth of $79.2 Billion. But what about our favourite comic book, movie, videogame and television high rollers?

Where would Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark sit on the Fictional Rich List? What about The Simpsons’ Mr Burns or Lara Croft? Ponder that question no more, with a handy little infographic we list the fifteen characters who hit the jackpot!

Far from being a traditional list you’ll find some surprise inclusions, not least Smaug the Dragon from The Hobbit. “The old wyrm Smaug found his fortune by invading Dale and taking over the Dwarves “Lonely Mountain” stronghold which contained all their hordes of gold, gems and other treasures.”
